This circular panoramic view of Versailles was painted at Kingston, New York, and New York City between 1818 and 1819. Vanderlyn used numerous sketches (Senate House Museum, Kingston, New York) that he had made at Versailles in 1814. The perspective was carefully adjusted to the circular shape. The painting was originally intended for display in the Rotunda built by Vanderlyn in 1818 at the northeast corner of City Hall Park in New York. Its showing there was not as successful as Vanderlyn had wished. In search of some profit, Vanderlyn toured intermittently with the panorama until his death. The artist depicted himself pointing out Czar Alexander I and King Frederick William II of Prussia to the right of the Basin de Latone.

Velg materialet du vil legge opp i hjemmet ditt

Vi tilbyr en rekke forskjellige materialer og størrelser for hvert produkt. Dermed lar vi deg velge mellom følgende alternativer:

  • Dibond-trykk i aluminium (metall): These are metal prints on aluminium dibond with an impressive depth effect - for a modern impression and non-reflective surface structure.
  • Plakatutskriften på lerretmateriale: Our poster print is a printed sheet of canvas with a slightly rough surface structure, which reminds the original masterpiece. Please note, that depending on the size of the poster print we add a white margin of around 2-6 cm round about the work of art, which facilitates the framing.
  • Lerret: A printed canvas, which shall not be confused with a canvas painting, is a digital copy printed directly on cotton canvas fabric. A canvas produces the particular impression of three-dimensionality. Your canvas print of this artpiece will allow you to transform your fine art print into a large work of art. Hanging a canvas print: Canvas prints are relatively low in weight, meaning that it is easy to hang the Canvas print without the help of extra wall-mounts. That is why, canvas prints are suited for all kinds of walls.
  • Akrylglasstrykk (med ekte glassbelegg): An print on acrylic glass, which is sometimes described as a UV print on plexiglass, will transform the original artwork into marvellous décor. The work of art is being manufactured with the help of modern UV direct printing technology. The major upside of an acrylic glass art print is that contrasts and smaller artwork details become more identifiable thanks to the very subtle gradation of the picture.
