Shown is the church stairs in Mistelbach. The painting is displayed as early as 1886 in the journal "New Illustrierte Zeitung" (Jg 15, 1 vol., No. 5, 31.10.1886, p 73) bears there but a signature on the bottom right. In the same year it was exhibited at the 16th annual exhibition at the Vienna Künstlerhaus and then in Berlin. The image was part of a cycle of four images (spring, summer, autumn and winter), entitled "From pain and Mühsalbanden let land on beaches redemption me weary wanderer" (inlet Books Künstlerhaus 1886). Bernatzik has the image clearly in 1888 again revised slightly and re-signed.

Vinter is a work of art created by the Austrian painter Wilhelm Bernatzik in 1888. The version of the artpiece had the size: 96 x 78 cm - frame: 128 x 106 x 13 cm and was crafted on the medium olje på lerret.
